Newcastle

 

The Botanist

 

Situated on Monument Mall, The Botanist if a beautiful bar and kitchen to enjoy a birdseye view overlooking the city centre of Newcastle and the pretty botanical interiors of floral decoration and the most popular snapped roof on Instagram – the fairy light glass ceiling. Here at The Botanist you can sip on delicious Cocktails, taste test flavoured Gins, try out the Craft Ale’s while tucking into the bottomless brunch, lunch and dinner menus to create the perfect evening out in the toon. Pleased To Meet You have recently announced their brand new Cocktail club, ‘Five At Five’ perfect for drinks after work or a heavy University lecture! Extending the popular Happy Hour you can sip on a selection of PTMY favourites for just £5 per Cocktail! Between 5pm-7pm Monday to Fridays – it is high class drinking at a low cost –  it’s too good to resist!

 

Colonel Porters Emporium

 

Colonel Porters Emporium is a magical “true Northern Star” located at the bottom of Dean Street. Rich in heritage from the creators of the famous Newcastle Brown Ale, it’s a drinks lounge and kitchen that celebrates Master Brewer Colonel Porter and Chief Chemist Archie Jones’ partnership. Here you can find a selection of Vintage Cocktails, Tipsy Tea’s, Real Ales, ‘Lashings of Lobster’ on the menu and take part in fun masterclasses. At a weekend it’s doors are open for business 12pm – 2:30am so it’s definitely a place you can perch up and enjoy your evening with friends or colleagues!

 

Livello

 

Dubbed as ‘Newcastle’s Best Bar and Late Night Venue’, Livello at the bottom of Livello, a couple doors down from the previous Colonel Porters Emporium, offers a fantastic night out along the Newcastle Quayside. Combining the coolest of Cocktails, there is a Member’s Lounge available for those dedicated to their nightlife, an elegant Courtyard out the back and the best playlists provided from high-grade DJ’s on the regular.

 

Sunderland

 

808 Bar and Kitchen

 

‘Eat Good – Drink Good – Feel Good’ is the 808 motto in the heart of Sunderland located on St. Thomas Street, just a half hour drive into Sunderland from Newcastle! A fairly new establishment, you can enjoy delicious food consisting of Slider Burgers, Wood Fire Pizzas, Sharing Platters and many more, while sipping on yummy Pink Gin Tree’s, Martini’s, Frozen Cocktails and many, many more to satisfy your cravings.

 

The Palm

 

The Palm located along The Wessington Way hosts a mixture of different venues from Liberty Browns Steak House, Tropicuba Carnival Bar and Tapas, Wildernest Bar and Lobster Cabin and Pineapple Cove Cafe. You can enjoy a mix of different drinks, cuisine and atmosphere for the evening with the background of great music to get your evening flowing in full swing.

 

Poetic License

 

The perfect tranquil Gin bar situated along Roker Beach coastline, next door to the Roker Hotel. Boasting with flavoured and traditional Gins from their very own Poetic License distillery, featuring Picnic Gin, Northern Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin and many more. You can also catch some delicious food off their menu while overlooking the beautiful coastal views.

 

Durham

 

Ebony Champagne Bar

 

Situated in Walker Gate, Durham – the Ebony Champagne Bar is famous for their Champagne Days and is a classy establishment perfect for spending a sunny afternoon sipping fancy cocktails and trying out their tasty nibbles. A small, intimate venue, it also homes an outdoor glassed greenhouse area with heated seats and blankets to escape the evening chill.

 

The Butterfly Room

 

Just down the steps from Ebony, The Butterfly Room is a relatively new cocktail bar with Insta-worthy interiors, including a neon butterfly sign. Offering an array of Cocktails such as Love Island Ice Tea, Spiced Passionfruit Mojito, Frose and many more, it’s definitely a photo-worthy trip to Durham for you and friends.

 

Old Tom’s Gin Bar

 

The exclusive Gin bar offers exactly what it says on the tin – an exclusive bar with an array of delicious gins to wet your whistle.
